El Monte Aloia was established as a Natural Site of National Interest by Ministerial Order 5 June 1935. It is a summit located in the Sierra de Galiñeiro. It is located in the town of Tui Pontevedra, and has an area of 746 hectares. There are many legends relating to Mount: is said Aloia mares are fertilized by the wind, and St. Julian's bed no grass grows. All of them give an idea of the mythical character who always had to mount Aloya tudenses, lost track of its origins in the mists of time.
